Monday Morning.....

Good Morning My Confidants

It is an absolutely beautiful morning here in Kansas City, and a lovely way to start the week.

I so wished Noah didn't have to go to work and RBear won't be up for hours and I figured the temperature would be getting much higher today so I headed to my local shop for a "people watch" morning.

So glad I did.

Had a marvelous conversation with a woman with a chocolate brown lab (mix?) named Maybe (apparently the name came from TV show?). She was looking for a small dog, but this dog let her know that she needed to be adopted. It just made me very happy.

It's also been a very very good morning for social media. No one complaining, no one whining, no one venting, no one tRumping, no one complaining it's Monday..... How nice.

I feel so...... Zen.

I was sort of out of it all weekend. I don't know what was going on. I wasn't in a bad mood or anything like that. Not at all in fact. Went to a birthday party for an old old friend. Noah took us to a wonderful Father's Day meal. Nothing bad happened at all. I just was.....out of it.

Today promises to be wonderful. And I'm going to take it up on that promise. And I promise to be wonderful. We are having very good friends over for dinner tonight, they're getting married next weekend, and I'm so excited for you. They deserve all the happiness in the world. And I get to be a small part of their wedding! How incredible is that?

And, I don't have to wear a tux! The instructions are that everyone should be dressed festive! And for everyone who knows me, they know that I can be festive!! It's going to be something very colorful with lots of spangled jewelry!

You know, in looking for a fun coffee meme for this morning, I was struck about how many of them were about how horrible Monday is, or how badly everyone was waiting for Friday.

Please please please don't live for Friday. Live for today. Whatever day it is that you read this. Live for this moment. Take it in. Take a deep breath. Let it out slowly. And know the Universe is a better place with you in it.

And so I hope that your Monday is even half as lovely as mine. And filled with promise. But if you're in pain, know that someone is out there truly wishing you the very best. I mean it.
